  I. Functions, tasks and power of Bac Giang Trade Promotion Center

1. Functions:

 To preside over the implementation of the trade promotion activities of the province; to help enterprises in developing their production, trade, markets as well as enhancing their competitive capability and spur exports.

2. Tasks and power:

 + To preside over the building of plans, short-term and long-term trade promotion programs for the province and  submitting to the competent agencies for approval and then organizing the implementation of approved programs;

+ To preside over the implementation of the trade promotion programs of the province or supporting and guiding the organizations and individuals in the province to take part in the trade promotion programs; to develop the cooperation with the domestic and foreign trade promotion organizations;

+ To organize or support the delegations of businesses and organizations, which visit the province to explore, search for markets, take part in trade fairs, exhibition, seminars or conferences as well as services and investment forums domestically and abroad; to organize or coordinate with the units or enterprises, which are engaged in organizing trade fairs or exhibitions according to the plans of the provincial People’s Committee or the Department of Industry and Trade.

+ To organize or coordinate with the functional units to organize professional training courses and seminars in the fields of industry and trade; to carry out vocational training and development; to advise and help the production bases, enterprises and trade villages to enhance the production capabilities and market development;

+ To deploy the implementation of e-commerce development task assigned by the provincial People’s Committee for the 2007-2010 period; to preside over the building of e-commerce development plans of the province in the next periods and submit to the competent agencies for approval and organization of implementation of approved plans;

+ To build showrooms for exhibition and introduction of products domestically and abroad, to introduce the economic capability and potential of the province; to create opportunities for customers and partners in the province and all over the country to visit and learn about the economic development of the province;

+ To build information database on the potential of the province and on the goods, market, import, export and investment; to build broadcasting programs on industry and trade; to manage, maintain the Website, publish news and printed matters on industry and trade of the Department of Industry and Trade;

+ To advise and support enterprises in opening representative offices and exploring showrooms of products domestically and abroad; to provide or coordinate in providing services for enterprises; and to carry out other permitted services.

+ To carry out other tasks assigned by the provincial People’s Committee and the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.
