ASEAN Secretariat job oppotunities

ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) is currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the two new vacancies below:1) DIRECTOR FOR MARKET INTEGRATION (DIR MI) - to oversee integration and cooperation programmes in the areas of trade and facilitation, services, investment, external economic relations, competition, consumer protection, and intellectual property rights. H/she will also be responsible for providing high-level services to the ASEAN economic bodies, in particular the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Blueprint, and economic relations with the Dialogue Partners of ASEAN and other external partners.
2) DIRECTOR FOR CORPORATE AFFAIRS (DIR CA) – to lead the corporate affairs of ASEC including managing the human resources and development of 259 staff, manage the operationalisation of the new financial information management and accounting system and internal administration, build the information and communication systems. H/she will also manage legal services that ASEC will be providing to Member States in its new role in monitoring and reporting on compliance as required by the ASEAN Charter.
For the above two positions, we are looking for an experienced person with leadership capacity and strategic vision and must possess an advanced university degree in economics (for DIR MI) and human resources management, finance, business or public administration, law (for DIR CA) or a related field and have at least 10 years of working experience in a leading position, clearly proven management capability with strong corporate, strategic and business planning skills. H/she must also have a proven track record at a senior level in policy development, negotiations, and experience working with high level government officials as well as the business community and the civil society. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of international and regional issues, and a knowledge of and commitment to ASEAN ideals.
